Build
Take Flight: A Comprenhensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia. The Orton-Gillingham-based reading intervention is designed for students ages 7 and older with dyslexia. It was developed by the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders at Scottish Rite for Children. It uses a multi-sensory approach to help struggling readers build lasting literacy skills.
Build is an early reading intervention for students in K-1. It is a small group intervention that addresses the five components of reading. Build was delveloped by the staff at the Luke Waites Center for Dyslexia and Learning Disorders.
Multi-Sensory Math
Multi-Sensory math is a teaching approach that engages more than one sense. This approach helps the students make a stronger neural connection in the brain. Multi-Sensory math is extremely beneficial for students with dyscalculia or dyslexia, but it helps all learners build a deeper conceptual understanding.
